Swedish e-health firm Sanolium AB has named Lars Andåker as interim chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Andåker, who succeeds Peter Gille, who has left the company, is a board member and has been with the business since 2012.
He previously held the role of interim chief executive officer at the firm’s parent company Cambio between 2014 and 2015.
An experienced executive in the healthcare sector, Andåker’s previous roles include CEO of the Swedish Medical Association, county council director of Sörmland County and CEO of Swedish Patient Insurance.
Commenting on Andåker’s appointment, Tomas Mora-Morrison, co-founder and Board director of Cambio, said: “Cambio continues to perform strongly and deliver on its growth plan. We are now entering a new phase of growth that requires a different type of leadership to take Cambio to the next level. Peter has been an important part of our success story during his six years as CEO and he leaves with our best wishes.”
Gille added: “It has been a privilege leading Cambio over the last six years. The company has almost tripled its revenues during that time to become the leading provider of EHR software solutions in Sweden. I am proud of these achievements and wish the company all future success. I will remain an investor in Cambio and look forward to following the development of the group.”
