Simplyhealth appoints sales director ahead of health product launch

Simplyhealth has appointed James Henderson as group sales and marketing director ahead of the launch of a new range of health products for businesses.

The provider said Henderson was joining to help drive “ambitious” growth plans to improve access to healthcare for all in the UK.

Prior to this appointment, he served at KPMG as customer practice lead for the insurance sector, and marketing practice lead across all sectors, previously holding a number of senior marketing, distribution and proposition roles across Aviva.

His appointment comes ahead of the imminent launch of a new range of “affordable health products for businesses” which the group said will help make healthcare “simple, affordable and accessible to the whole of the workforce – alongside a brand refresh”.

Health & Protection asked Simplyhealth for further details on which size of organisations are being targeted, what services will be on offer, the price range and how this compares to existing products and was told the new product portfolio will be announced later this month.

However, Simplyhealth added the new portfolio of products, all housed in one app, will provide clients with a one-stop shop to build a health benefits package, so they only pay for what they need.

In this newly-created sales and marketing director role, Henderson will be responsible for driving growth and customer value through direct, partner and broker distribution and marketing, across Simplyhealth and Denplan.
