Watch now – Empowering your small business through workplace cancer support
In our latest workplace Health and Wellbeing Academy event for small businesses our panel of experts discussed why it is so important for small businesses to help support employees who are dealing with cancer in the workplace.
We heard from small business owners, Deborah Sparks, founder of The Thoughtful Potter and Rosie Wolfenden MBE, co-founder of Tatty Devine on how they dealt with cancer both personally and professionally.
We also heard from Bupa’s Laura Plumpton, Clinical Case Manager and Laura Williams, Head of Partnerships Legal Team at Worknest who explored the different ways small businesses can support an employee who is dealing with cancer, including their legal responsibilities, and providing guidance on how they can communicate empathy and support to those undergoing cancer treatment.
