Claims Consortium Group (CCG) director of operations and third party administration Claire Lashbrook has joined the advisory board of the Society of Claims Professionals.

The society is the professional body within the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) dedicated to those working in the claims sector.

Lashbrook, who oversees all claim operations including validations, repairs and out of hours, began her career with the business in 2011 as a claims handler.

She subsequently progressed to service manager and operations manager before being appointed operations director in 2020.

Lashbrook is also currently president of the Exeter CII, having previously been the first careers officer for the institute.

Lashbrook said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Society of Claims Professionals advisory board and look forward to getting involved with the fantastic work the society does advising members, raising professional standards and building consumer trust in the sector.

“It is a real honour to be working alongside some of the most talented individuals in our profession.”

Sue McCall, chair of the Society of Claims Professionals, added: “I am delighted to welcome Claire to the advisory board of the Society of Claims Professionals.

“Her rapid career progression demonstrates what a talented claims professional she is, and her previous involvement with the CII’s New Generation programme is a further endorsement of that. I look forward to working with her as we continue to provide insight and knowledge to our members across the sector.”
