Spectrum.Life has appointed Dr Rizwan Khalid in the newly-created role of medical director.
Khalid (pictured) will oversee a clinical workforce of more than 300 in-house clinicians and a network of more than 2,500 qualified professionals across the world.
He is a general practitioner and independent health tech consultant with more than 20 years of experience within the NHS and the broader healthcare sector.
In his position as a specialist clinical expert with Verity Barrington and VentureBlick, he supported health tech founders, validated clinical concepts, and worked to safeguard emerging healthcare innovations.
Khalid was previously chief medical officer and co-founder of Memories Healthcare, where he led the development of patient-centric digital solutions, leaving in 2022.
Prior to that he was the medical director at Dimedic, leaving that role in 2022. There he was responsible for clinical governance and directed the digital health strategy for an international telemedicine platform.
Khalid follows previous medical director Dr Khyber Alam who was in the role for two years.
