Stonebridge has appointed John Scrivens as head of sales.
Joining the mortgage and protection network’s senior management team, Scrivens (pictured) will lead strategy to support firms looking to increase their income and will also have some accountability for investments in the related financial services businesses, co-owned by the group.
Reporting to CEO, Rob Clifford, he will also focus on new income generation for member firms and how they can maximise income from new and existing opportunities within the network.
Scrivens has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, and has worked for banks and building societies, predominantly in the mortgage intermediary sector.
He has held business development roles, as well as leadership positions managing both telephony and field teams. Scrivens joins Stonebridge from Skipton Building Society where he was employed for eight years, most recently as its intermediary development and leadership – regional manager.
He is also a member of the IMLA Working Group on diversity and inclusion in the industry.
Clifford said: “It’s a real positive to be able to expand our leadership team with the appointment of John to lead income growth.
“This exciting new appointment gives us additional senior management capacity and provides both the network and our member firms with a highly-experienced individual who brings a wealth of insight and knowledge, as well as a proven track record of driving commercial success.
“Everyone at Stonebridge is looking forward to the positive impact John will have on not only our growth plans, but more importantly, the mutual success of our member firms.”
Scrivens added: “I’m delighted to be joining Stonebridge, and to start working with both the entire team here and our member firms.
“Having spent the last 15 years working in the intermediary sector and over 25 years in financial services I have a real understanding of the challenges firms face, but also the opportunities available, particularly through a network such as Stonebridge.
“My aim is to ensure all our members make the most of those opportunities, to provide them with a wealth of information and insight into what is available to them, and what it can mean to their businesses to access these products and services.
“Stonebridge is a market-leader and one which I know has significant ambitions for the future – I’m aiming to play a full part in helping deliver for all stakeholders.”
