Tim Stoves is stepping down as Canada Life managing director for group protection – bringing to an end a 20-year career with the firm, the insurer has confirmed.
He will be succeeded on an interim basis by group protection sales director Dan Crook (pictured).
Stoves joined Canada Life following its acquisition of Royal & Sun Alliance back in 2003.
He worked his way up from group scheme underwriter to group scheme underwriting supervisor to scheme underwriting manager, managing director and finally MD for protection at the start of 2018.
A spokesperson for Canada Life said: “Tim has decided to step down as MD for our group protection business, and he leaves with our best wishes.
“Our focus remains on providing brilliant customer outcomes, and we will shortly start our search for a successor to lead this business forward.”
