Towergate appoints head of client development from Mercer

Towergate Health & Protection has appointed Tim Moloney as head of client development.

A newly created role, Moloney’s function will include broadening Towergate Health & Protection’s propositions offered to clients to deepen the company’s relationships with them.

The firm added the aim is to make Towergate Health & Protection the intermediary of choice for all services and propositions in health, risk, protection and wellbeing.

He joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits where he was a sales and growth leader – successfully growing the firm’s employee benefits in conjunction with the general insurance business across the SME, mid-market and corporate markets.

Moloney was a corporate account manager at Bupa prior to joining Mercer.

Jason Britton, commercial director for Towergate Health & Protection, said: “Tim is well placed to help us to achieve our client ambitions, bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge about the industry. Tim’s appointment will help us  continue to strengthen our team to combine highly trusted employee wellbeing, health and benefits advice with an effortless client experience.”

Moloney (pictured) added: “I am delighted to join Towergate Health and Protection and look forward to further strengthening the client base in terms of the areas in which we support them with our experience and expertise.”
