Technology provider UnderwriteMe has appointed Simon Jacobs to the newly created role of business development director.
Jacobs (pictured) has worked in the life and health industry for more than 25 years, most recently as head of underwriting and claims strategy at Aegon. He has also held senior roles at Axa and Munich Re.
He reports into head of sales and marketing Nilesh Patel.
Commenting on the new recruit, Patel said: “We are continuing to create products that make the process of underwriting much more efficient and consistent.
“We are delighted to have Simon join the business to really work with our partners to continue to transform the life insurance market through technology.”
