HCB Group has appointed Loraine Van Eeden as a non-executive director to its UK board.

Van Eeden, who previously worked as global head of claims for Swiss Re and more recently for TAL Australia, will be charged with supporting the group’s continued penetration into the Australia and South Africa markets.

Van Eeden (pictured), said: “I am excited to join the HCB team at this exciting phase of their journey and growth into international territories.

“Their philosophy and practises align with my strong beliefs in understanding the causes of employee absence and enabling sustainable return to work.

“I look forward to working with HCB to develop their continued growth initiatives.”

Jim Harris, managing director of the HCB Group, added: “HCB’s early intervention service is valued in the UK and Ireland by insurers and employers, and our impressive outcomes prove the value of the service.

“I am thrilled to welcome Loraine to the HCB team, and I know that her strategic advice and exceptional knowledge of our target markets will help us to bring new ideas and refreshed thinking on claims services to new insurer clients in Australia and South Africa.”
