Four in 10 workers say they want access to onsite mental health facilities, according to findings from a survey by MoreySmith.

The office designers commissioned a survey of 1,017 UK adults in full or part time work which asked about their new expectations of work, following 14 months of Covid restrictions and working from home.

The survey found almost half (43%) of people said they want access to mental health facilities on-site.

A further 44% of respondents said that access to outdoor terraces and gardens was an important consideration in their decision to return to the physical workspace.

Two thirds of employees (67%) wanted offices that guaranteed hygiene so there was no need for Covid restrictions once on-site upon their return to the office – so-called Covid havens.

This far surpassed the half of employees (49%) who wanted space for socialising and one in five (20%) that were looking for excellent on-site entertainment facilities.

Additionally, of the respondents who said the question applied to them, seven in ten (70%) said they were in favour of switching to a four-day week on the same pay, with only 14% against it.
