More UK employees think the tech they use at work adversely affects their mental wellbeing than those that do not.
This is according to research from employee benefits consultancy Barnett Waddingham, which shows 46% of UK employees feel the technology they use in order to perform their job remotely adversely affects their mental wellbeing, compared with 35% who feel it does not.
Younger employees were found to be more likely to report adverse mental wellbeing due to the tech they use to do their job – with 54% of 18-24 year olds and 50% of 25-34 year olds reporting adverse effects, compared to just 33% of 45-64 year olds.
The survey also found 59% of disabled employees reported adverse effects due to workplace tech compared to 45% of able bodied people.
