New Jersey-based World Insurance Associates has acquired HML Brokerage based in Brooklyn, New York.

The acquisition happened on 1 September 2024, and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

HML offers healthcare and business insurance coverage, and is also known for property and casualty insurance services.

The HML acquisition was the latest of a round of World Insurance acquisitions. Last year it acquired seven other insurance agencies, including five in Texas and Louisiana.

Since its founding in 2011, World Insurance has completed more than 250 acquisitions and serves clients from more than 250 offices across the United States.

Herman Lefkowitz, unit leader of the HML Brokerage said: “We provide our clients with coverage that focuses on their unique business needs, so they can focus on their business success.

“Our well-trained team of insurance professionals have extensive knowledge and provide exceptional customer service.

“We are pleased to be joining World, a company that shares this approach.”

Rich Eknoian, CEO and co-founder of World Insurance, said: “On behalf of the World family, I’d like to welcome HML.

“I know they will continue to be successful as part of the World team.”
