The Worldwide Broker Network has appointed Enrique Acevedo to it’s board of directors, effective immediately.
Acevedo is the CEO of Correcol, a Colombian insurance broker, which employs more than 250 staff with headquarters in Bogota, and regional offices in Medellín, Manizales, Cali and Barranquilla.
The business is wholly owned by the Acevedo family and offers intermediation services for businesses and direct to consumer in Colombia and around the world.
Commenting on his new role, Acevedo, said: “It’s an honour to join the Worldwide Broker Network as a board member at such an exciting time for the network in its growth journey, representing businesses with over $9bn in revenue.
“WBN has an important role this year to bring the network together face-to-face through our global conferences, and I look forward to working with WBN CEO Olga Collins and the board in driving the strategic vision and agenda for the network.”
Collins added: “I am delighted to welcome Enrique to the WBN board. Enrique brings with him a vast wealth of experience and insight from not only the Colombian insurance market which has experienced significant growth, but from his global insurance expertise.
