WPA is launching a skin support pathway in partnership with MySkinDoctor.
The digital service gives customers access to consultant dermatologists, delivering diagnosis and treatment plans within three working days — without the need for a GP referral.
Using the MySkinDoctor web-based app, customers upload photos of their skin concern and receive a consultant-led diagnosis and personalised care plan.
Where clinically appropriate, a private prescription can be provided at the customer’s own cost.
The pathway is available 24/7 for unlimited queries, supports adults and children, and can be used without affecting policy excesses, annual benefit limits, or no-claims discounts.
For cases requiring further investigation, an in-person consultation with a dermatologist can be arranged through WPA’s standard claim pre-authorisation process.
This latest pathway builds on WPA’s mental health, cancer, and musculoskeletal pathways.
Sharon Shier, chief customer officer at WPA, (pictured) said the pathway strategy was about easing worries.
“Skin Support adds another dimension to our digital healthcare offering, helping individuals and families feel confident that professional advice is always available,” she said.
