Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Megan Shao as chief claims officer for Asia Pacific (APAC).
Shao re-joins Zurich from Axa as of 1 February 2026. There she served as head of claims, Asia.
Prior to this, she was head of financial lines and casualty claims, Asia Pacific at Zurich Insurance.
In her new role, she will lead Zurich’s claims function across APAC and will report into Sean Walker head of commercial insurance and chief technical officer, Asia Pacific, Zurich Insurance Group. She will be based in Singapore.
Walker said: “We are delighted to welcome Megan back to Zurich. Her experience, leadership and technical expertise will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our claims service to our customers across the region.”
