Zurich has appointed Louise Colley to head up its individual propositions as part of a number of changes at the life office’s protection business.

Colley (pictured) joins from Aviva where she held multiple roles including managing director of protection. More recently, she has held customer director roles in Aviva’s in Digital Propositions team and at Aviva Group level.

In addition to Colley’s appointment, Martin Taphouse has taken on a new role on the life executive team as Head of Business Transformation.

Cindy Warden will continue to lead Zurich Corporate Risk, the provider’s group protection business.

Alex Koslowski, head of UK Life and CEO of Zurich Assurance, said Colley’s “breadth of experience and passion for the protection industry makes her a perfect fit for” for Zurich’s team.

He added:  “Both Louise’s and Peter’s extensive expertise and knowledge will put us in the very best position as we push ahead with our ambitious growth plans.”

Colley will join Zurich’s life executive team as head of retail protection this week.
