Allianz Partners has launched a range of international private medical insurance (IPMI) plans for Dubai and Northern Emirates in partnership with Orient Insurance.
The Sphera suite of international healthcare plans is designed for expats and their families living in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Available to new customers, the plans are underwritten and sold by UAE-based Orient Insurance which is a subsidiary of Al-Futtaim, and designed with the support of Allianz Partners.
The plans are designed for globally mobile professionals, digital nomads, international students, young travellers, and expatriate families.
The portfolio offers four-tiered options, Essence, Base, Enhanced and Signature with maximum benefit limits ranging from $250,000 to $5m, and plans can be tailored through optional add-ons, such as dental and enhanced maternity coverage.
The insurer is offering a choice of medical networks for members to choose access to. They are:
- Comprehensive Network: includes all medical providers in our UAE network.
- General Plus Network: excludes premium healthcare providers (American Hospital Group, Mediclinic Group, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, King’s College Hospital, and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib).
- General Network: features additional exclusions of high-cost providers beyond those excluded from Comprehensive and General Plus networks.
- Restricted Enhanced Network: includes selected cost-effective providers delivering a complete range of medical services throughout the UAE.
Assistance and security programmes
The plans include additional services such as an expat assistance programme, travel security service, a health and wellness support programme and a second medical opinion service
Customers also benefit from access to digital tools such as the MyHealth Digital Services and Lumi app, providing access to services, health and wellness support programme, documentation, and health-related resources throughout the policy lifecycle.
