Victoria Atkins, Jeremy Hunt and Mel Stride have all retained their respective briefs in Conservative Party leader Rishi Sunak’s shadow cabinet.

Following last week’s general election defeat that saw a number of ministers lose their seats, Sunak confirmed appointments in his shadow cabinet.

Former health and social care secretary Atkins (pictured), chancellor Jeremy Hunt and work and pensions secretary Stride, who all won back their seats last week, take the posts of shadow health secretary, shadow chancellor and shadow work and pensions secretary respectively.
