Broadstone has appointed Emily Degan as team leader for its risk and health desk-based consulting team.
Up until February of this year she led a team of client relationship managers as a senior business development manager at Mercer Marsh Benefits.
Degan (pictured) brings nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including almost 17 years leading teams and managing complex client portfolios in the defined contribution (DC) pension and employee benefits sector and spent almost 25 years at Jelf and Mercer.
In her new role at Broadstone, she will oversee the delivery of client services across risk, health and employee benefits portfolios, focusing on strengthening client relationships and ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery.
She will also support the development and delivery of tailored wellbeing and risk solutions, and identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes and drive growth.
Degan said: “I am excited to have joined Broadstone, and to be developing my expertise within the risk and healthcare space, so I can better support our clients with innovative employee benefits strategies.
“I am focused on developing and supporting my team so they feel valued and recognised, enabling them to perform at their best and deliver an outstanding service.”
Brett Hill, head of health and protection at Broadstone, welcomed Degan’s “deep experience in the employee benefits sector, combined with her strong background in client service delivery and relationship management“.
“As demand continues to increase for impactful and cost-effective workplace health strategies, she is going to play a key role in supporting Broadstone’s clients to enhance employee wellbeing and to achieve their broader strategic goals,” he added.
