Bupa has promoted Jo Paice to the newly created role of chief operating officer (COO) of Bupa Health Services.

The provider told Health & Protection Paice’s appointment will support the joining up of hospitals, diagnostics centres and health clinics following acquisitions of recent years.

It added she will be reporting directly to general manager for health services, Sarah Melia.

Previously clinics and specialist primary care director, Paice (pictured) has held a number of roles at Bupa since joining from Deloitte where she was an assistant tax manager back in 2002.

Announcing her appointment, Paice said: “After eight fantastic years within our Bupa Health Clinics business, I’m delighted to be expanding my horizons and moving to become chief operating officer of Bupa Health Services.

“I’m delighted to be able to work across all our clinics, diagnostic centres and hospitals who bring brilliant experiences to our customers and patients every day.”
