CIExpert has appointed Paul Roberts as propositions and distribution director after working on a consulting basis with the comparison service since December 2020.
Roberts has more than 35 years’ experience in the protection sector including as head of protection at Old Mutual Wealth and head of intermediary distribution at Direct Life and Pension Services.
Earlier in his career he held roles at insurers Guardian Royal Exchange, Scottish Equitable and Aegon.
Roberts (pictured) will be involved in shaping new developments at the firm, including extending the reach of the InsightZone, it said.
An update on Roberts’ LinkedIn page added that he is helping to develop the firm’s health and wellbeing services, along with driving promotion and distribution opportunities.
Roberts said he was absolutely thrilled to be joining the team which he had been impressed with during his consultancy stint.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to further enhance their suite of comparison services as well as collaborating closely with our insurer, distribution and adviser partners to help them grow their protection business,” he said.
