New Zealand life insurer Fidelity Life has appointed Bronwyn Kirwan as its new chief sales and service officer.

Kirwan, who most recently has been leading Swiss Re-owned insurer IptiQ, has held distribution and market strategy roles with Zurich International and Swiss Re in the UK, Europe and Australia, over her career.

She was also previously CEO of financial adviser network Share in New Zealand.

Starting her new role on 9 August, Kirwan will report to Fidelity Life chief executive Melissa Cantell.

Commenting on Kirwan’s appointment, Cantell said: “Bronwyn’s deep insurance experience and technology credentials will be invaluable as our plans to diversify our channel mix and reach even more New Zealanders develop.

“As well as ensuring we keep delivering an exceptional experience to advisers, partners and customers, she’ll be leading our new strategic alliance with Westpac NZ.”
