Online retailer Flipkart has introduced unlimited medical insurance cover for employees.
The Bangalore-headquartered firm revealed the insurance will cover all medical expenses and cost of hospitalisation, without employees paying any premium for it.
The updated policy covers mental health treatment and critical illness, while the family of deceased employees will benefit to the value of five times the deceased employee’s annual pay.
Flipkart further revealed it has worked with hospital partners and local authorities to arrange for vaccinations for all employees across India over the next two months.
Over 15,000 of the firm’s employees and their families have been vaccinated, with Flipkart covering the full vaccination cost for employees and five dependants per employee.
