Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing has made two senior appointments as it continues expanding its international business.

The intermediary firm has appointed Leigh Dauncey as global benefits director for The Middle East, Africa, Asia and Pacific, and David Williams as head of international operations within its international healthcare team.

Dauncey (pictured left) has more than 20 years’ experience in health and benefits and was most recently a director at Partners&.

Prior to this role, he was Middle East & Africa sales leader at Mercer Africa.

In his new role he will focus on growing Howden’s employee benefits business and developing the global proposition for clients based in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Pacific.

Williams (pictured right) joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits, where he was international SME manager.

He also joins Howden with over 20 years’ experience gained in health insurance. He joined Mercer from Jelf Group where he spent eight years working as an international business manager.

Howden CEO and global practice head of health and employee benefits Glenn Thomas said: “We are delighted to welcome Leigh and David to our team.

“Both are experienced individuals who are well known and highly respected within the industry.

“They are committed to helping clients find the best benefits and wellbeing solutions and we know they will be an asset to the business – helping us to drive growth and explore new global opportunities.’’
