Underwriting processes and dealing with pre-existing conditions dominated the comments received from intermediaries with concerns raised about the time taken and often unnecessary limitations placed on customers’ cover.
More specifically responses for GP reports were a hot topic while wider issues in the market such as pricing and loadings were also raised.
However, there were also insightful recommendations about improving service, products and communicating with customers and across the industry.
The research also found fears about the rising cost of living straining consumer budgets are increasing among advisers in the individual protection market.
