HCML has acquired ILS, a specialist in rehabilitation case management and care for catastrophically injured children and adults, for an undisclosed sum.
ILS has 40 specialist case managers who will all be transferring across to HCML as part of the acquisition.
HCML added the deal will afford both ILS and HCML’s employees access to a wider pool of specialist case managers and resources to better serve all clients.
HCML told Health & Protection that following the deal while joint ILS CEOs, Karenmarie Smith and Kate Maclean, have stepped away from the business, Sarah Ransome, will continue in her role as managing director and transition across to HCML with the team.
James Murray, CEO of HCML, (pictured) said: “The strategic acquisition of ILS further strengthens HCML’s position as a providers of some of the best case management care in the UK.
“The healthcare industry is fast paced, evolving all the time, and we want to ensure that HCML is best placed to take advantage of the opportunities this presents to further grow our business and enhance our services.
“Our exceptional, specialised and highly experienced case managers provide bespoke rehabilitation programmes for those that need it to help them get them back to the best health possible.
“Providing client-centred case management care has always been, and will continue to be, our priority.
“Acquiring ILS into the business enables us to do so much more, share expertise across our network and work to support our clients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes.”
Sarah Ransome, managing director of ILS, added: “This acquisition allows us to strengthen our founding mission and values which is to provide person-centred case management to our clients.
“Being part of HCML’s case management network will allow our committed team to further enhance the care and support they can provide to their clients.”
In July 2023, HCML acquired CA Case Management, a specialist in brain injury case management and expert witness.
