Perci Health has appointed Dr Matt Brown, consultant in pain medicine at The Royal Marsden, as medical director ahead of further service extensions.
The virtual cancer clinic revealed that under Dr Brown’s leadership, it will launch specialist digital clinics for overlooked side effects such as chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, cancer menopause and lymphoedema.
Dr Brown (pictured) has been a consultant at the Royal Marsden since September 2016.
He also holds the role of honorary associate faculty at The Institute of Cancer Research and was deputy medical director at Medefer until April of this year.
In February Perci Health expanded its virtual cancer clinic to integrate new clinical capabilities, including cancer prevention programmes and early detection services.
This was followed by significant injections of funding.
In March it received a £295,000 investment from Macmillan Cancer Support.
Then in June it completed a £3m funding round, doubling its original £1.5m target – taking the total the virtual cancer clinic has raised to £7.7m.
