Chris Dunne has announced that he is leaving Scottish Widows after some six years in communications there.

Dunne worked with the Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) for almost 17 years, including his most recent role as proposition manager for more than five years, since 2019.

In that role he worked on proposition design, corporate storytelling, industry articles, awards and customer offers for the brands of Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows.

He also worked on optimising the internal and external market profile for all Scottish Widows protection products, and building and maintaining Scottish Widows’ position as an industry influencer, including government and regulator level.

Prior to joining the Lloyds group in 2008 Dunne worked at the Halifax as an event manager for more than four years.

Dunne said via LinkedIn: “All good things come to an end… or is it come to those who wait?

“After six years at Scottish Widows, and many more brilliant years in mortgages, my time’s coming to an end as I leave LBG via redundancy.

“I’ve loved and I’m thankful for my time in protection, from take to market props to the PID team, and I met some brilliant people in an industry I really love being a part of.

“So one last ‘tour’ of Edinburgh next week and then onwards.”
