Scottish Widows has promoted Catherine Trimble to head of intermediary distribution within its protection business.
Previously intermediary distribution manager, Trimble (pictured) has worked in the distribution team since 2021, contributing to growth in market share and delivering on the insurer’s strategy.
In this new role, reporting to Rose St Louis, protection director at Scottish Widows, Trimble will be responsible for key strategic relationships and intermediary protection distribution to help more UK families put a financial safety net in place.
Trimble has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years in a variety of business management, sales and protection adviser roles. This includes a decade as national account manager at Aegon.
Rose St Louis, protection director at Scottish Widows, said: “Catherine has already played a crucial role in the delivery of the new platform and Income Protection product. With her now leading our protection intermediary distribution team, I am confident that we will continue to enhance the experience of advisers working with Scottish Widows, supporting them to meet the needs of their customers while delivering on our ambition to be a top three provider.”
