Vitality has added HealthHero as a second partner to meet demand for its virtual GP services.
The provider revealed that this new agreement will complement its existing arrangement with long-standing partner Livi in order to give its members increased capacity.
Through the addition of HealthHero and the expansion of its digital offering, Vitality added it will ensure that it can support all future demands through a range of GP services.
HealthHero GP Service will initially be provided to new personal and SME private health insurance members and those who have not used Vitality’s existing virtual GP service in the last 12 months.
Members who regularly use Livi will continue their journey uninterrupted, with both partnerships operating in parallel to support growing demand, before coming together and being made available to all members as an integrated, triaged pathway later this year.
Arun Thiyagarajan, CEO at VitalityHealth, (pictured) said “Healthcare expectations are shifting fast, and we’re committed to staying ahead of what members will need next.
“By bringing HealthHero on board for GP services alongside our long‑standing partner Livi, we’re boosting the long-term scale and resilience of our offering, while holding firm on quality and experience. Expanding our network means advisers can be confident their clients have greater flexibility, and seamless access to the right care exactly when they need it.”
Aseem Sadana, UK & Ireland CEO at HealthHero, added: ” We are delighted to partner with Vitality, a brand synonymous with quality and proactive health.
“At HealthHero, we are committed to making healthcare as seamless as possible, and we are particularly excited as this partnership allows us to provide flexible, high-quality care that fits into people’s busy lives, ensuring Vitality members can access expert medical advice exactly when and how they need it.”
