The Exeter has appointed Karen Woodley as head of healthcare development, a new role which will see her help shape the future direction of its healthcare business.
The healthcare distribution team, previously led by Woodley (pictured), will be integrated into The Exeter’s wider distribution model under Jamie Page, head of distribution.
Woodley joined The Exeter in 2015 as head of healthcare distribution and brings more than 20 years’ experience across the healthcare insurance market.
In her new role, she will focus on identifying emerging trends, innovation, market developments and future opportunities to help shape the next phase of The Exeter’s healthcare proposition.
An Association of British Insurers (ABI) health committee member, she is also treasurer of the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII).
Steve Bryan, director of distribution and marketing at The Exeter, said: “Karen has been instrumental in the growth of our healthcare proposition, and this next chapter is a well-deserved recognition of the valuable contribution she continues to make at The Exeter.
“She combines deep sector expertise with a strong understanding of our business and the people we serve. I’m delighted to see her take on this broader remit and look forward to seeing the impact she will undoubtedly have in the role.”
