US managed healthcare services provider Molina Healthcare has appointed Jennifer Vermeer as plan president.
Vermeer was most recently assistant vice president for population health and external affairs at the University of Iowa Health Care, where she developed value-based contracts and initiatives for a $2bn academic health system.
She previously held positions as chief executive officer and chief operating officer at the University of Iowa Health Alliance.
Commenting on her appointment, Dave Reynolds, senior vice president of health plans of Molina Healthcare, said: “As a seasoned leader with broad and deep experience in healthcare policy, operations, and strategic partnerships, Jennifer is well equipped to lead Molina’s effort to secure a position in Iowa’s Medicaid program.
“We look forward to Jennifer’s leadership of our Iowa team.”
