Christopher McDonald has been appointed minister of state at the Department of Health and Social Care.
The MP for Stockton North also retains his role as minister of state in the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade.
McDonald (pictured), appointed yesterday, joins new health ministers Alison McGovern and Dame Diana Johnson.
Karin Smyth retains her role as health minister, as does Baroness Merron as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, with James Frith coming in as Parliamentary Under-Secretary.
Their new boss is Yvette Cooper, who succeeded James Murray as secretary of state for health and social care in new PM Andy Burnham’s cabinet reshuffle at the start of the week.
