Omni Protect chooses Caspian Insurance as protection referral partner

Omni Protect, Fintel’s whole of market protection club proposition, is using Caspian Insurance as a referral service for its firms.

The agreement positions Caspian as the referral partner of choice for firms that opt not to write their own protection business.

It can also be used on a case-by-case basis, supporting advisers with complex medical cases or more specialist protection needs, including business protection and inheritance tax (IHT) planning.

Advisers who have joined Omni Protect are able to refer all types of life insurance, income protection, and critical illness cases to Caspian with immediate effect.

Emma Vaughan, managing director at Omni Protect, (pictured) said: “For many advisers, the challenge of ensuring their clients have a holistic financial plan in place versus using their own time most effectively is an ongoing one.

“Our partnership with Caspian Insurance means that Omni Protect firms now have an expert, trusted route through which to place insurance cases, giving advisers confidence that their clients are receiving expert support, whilst allowing them to focus their time on other areas of their business.

“Caspian is renowned for its experienced specialist team, dedication to working closely with both the referrer and the client to find the best solution as part of a wider plan, and flexible approach to working with advisers in the way which best suits them. I’m delighted to have agreed this partnership and am confident it will prove extremely beneficial to Omni Protect firms.”

Oliver Rayner, founder and managing director of Caspian Insurance, agreed that clients should not miss out on proper protection simply because their adviser does not write it, and that advisers should have a specialist route they can refer to with complete confidence.

“As protection needs have grown more complex in recent years, more advisers are choosing to refer these cases rather than write the business themselves, which is exactly the gap Omni Protect’s referral service is built to fill for its firms,“ Rayner said.

“We assist partners with the cases that genuinely demand specialist expertise, and we’ve seen strong recent growth in referrals for business protection and life cover to meet inheritance tax liabilities.“

Rayner added the firm was looking forward to supporting the distributor, it’s firms and their clients.
