Vitality has appointed Adam Murphy (pictured, right) as group chief finance officer.
Murphy will oversee finance functions across all Vitality’s international operations including the UK, US, Asia and in our partner markets, while remaining regulatory CFO for the UK health and life businesses.
He succeeds Justin Skinner (pictured, left), who will retire from executive roles following a long and distinguished career and will focus on a portfolio of non-executive roles.
Since joining Vitality in 2017 as group chief risk officer, he has held several senior leadership roles, including managing director of VitalityLife and group chief finance officer.
Murphy has been Vitality’s UK chief finance officer since late 2024. He joined in 2013 as head of financial reporting from PwC, where he trained as a chartered accountant, and has since held several senior finance roles across the health and life businesses.
Neville Koopowitz, group chief executive officer at Vitality, said: “Adam’s appointment reflects his exceptional contribution to Vitality over the past 13 years.
“Having worked across both our health and life businesses, most recently as UK CFO, he brings deep experience, strong leadership and a thorough understanding of our operations.
“We look forward to seeing him continue to strengthen our finance function and support our ambitions going forwards.
“I also want to thank Justin, who has played a significant role in Vitality’s success and growth over many years. His leadership, expertise and commitment have had a lasting impact on the business, and we are extremely grateful for his contribution.
“On behalf of everyone at Vitality, I would like to thank Justin and wish him the very best for the future.”
Skinner said: “It has been a privilege to be part of Vitality’s journey over the past nine years and to work alongside such talented colleagues across the business.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and leave knowing the organisation is well-positioned for the future. I wish Adam and the team every success in the years ahead.”
Murphy added: “I’m delighted to take on this expanded role. Having spent more than a decade at Vitality, I’ve had the privilege of working with teams from across the organisation and seeing first-hand what makes our business unique.
“I look forward to working closely with our international teams as we continue to support our members, partners and the long-term success of the group.”
