Fintel, which includes SimplyBiz and specialist protection distributor Omni Protect, has seen static revenue in the first half of 2026.

The group’s unaudited results for the six months ended 30 June confirmed revenue of £42.1m, down 0.6% from £42.4m in the same period last year.

Trading in line with expectations

Matt Timmins, CEO of Fintel, said: “With a growing base of recurring revenues, enhanced proprietary data assets, expanding technology capabilities and increasing participation across adviser and provider value chains, Fintel is well positioned to deliver sustainable long-term growth.

“Current trading remains in line with board expectations, and we therefore remain confident in delivering further strategic and financial progress in 2026.’’

Omni Protect agreements

In July, Omni Protect was the first distribution service to offer Beagle Street’s newly launched intermediary protection proposition to advisers.

And the following month, it was chosen by Walsham Brothers as its first distribution partner.

Significant hires

Over the year, it also made a pair of significant appointments, hiring Dave Butler to the newly created role of head of protection development and Richard Waters to the newly created position of head of strategic partnerships for protection and health.

Omnicore launch

This follows launching Omnicore last year, a whole-of-market distribution platform, broadening access to the mortgage and protection markets.

Earnings up

The group’s total adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) for the six-month period, which is not an official IFRS accounting statistic, jumped by 13.3% to £12.7m from £11.2m a year earlier.
